Welcome to Prepay Widget!
The easy way to keep informed of your account balance on Android!
Please read this short tutorial before using the app.
After installing Prepay Widget, you may need to restart your device.
Root functions
The latest version of Prepay Widget adds root functionality to the parsing system. At the moment, granting Prepay Widget superuser permissions will have 2 advantages - the app will no longer have to restart after updates and will have the ability to silently send USSD requests.
You can enable root mode in the Settings menu item. In this mode, your screen will no longer turn on when updates are carried out.
USSD commands and replies
One of the new features in Prepay Widget is parsing both USSD and SMS replies from your operator. Whenever a new command is first run, the app will now ask if the answer you recieve is correct, and if not give you the option to listen for an SMS reply instead. A long-awaited feature!
Please refer to the "Adding and modifying USSD requests" section for more information on handling SMS replies.
Adding or modifying USSD requests
After starting the application, tap on Manage USSD codes, then tap on Add new USSD
code and enter a command (e.g. *100#) in the textbox.
After the request is sent by your phone, you may get a reply in either USSD or SMS form. To make life easier, Prepay Widget can now parse SMS replies as well. After first running a code, you have the option of confirming it as the correct reply, or waiting for an SMS to arrive.
Choose "Await SMS" if your operator replies with text messages instead of USSD. Once an SMS arrives you will be asked to confirm it, and then redirected to the Indicators page, where you can add or modify indicators for each USSD command.
Adding and modifying USSD indicators
In the indicators window you will see your current USSD commands, operator responses, update interval configuration settings and a list of configurable indicators which you may add (or have already been added by you).
To configure the update interval for USSD requests, tap on Update Interval and select preferred intervals and conditions.
To add an indicator, just tap on the indicator field. In the dialog that appears you can set up a title for the indicator, as well as choose multiple indicators by tapping them.
Optionally, you can add a string denominating negative values (If the USSD response from your operator contains the string you entered here, before or after the amount, the string is considered negative - for example, MTS Russia returns a message saying "You are in debt by 200p, in which case the negative value to enter vould be "in debt by" and the widgets will from then on show "-200" whenever the words "in debt by" are present in the response). The same can be done with a suffix if your language uses them instead.
